MHPOS Privacy Policy

Megharsh Soft LLP ("Megharsh Soft", "we", "us", "our") operates the MHPOS mobile point-of-sale application and this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from businesses and staff who use MHPOS, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you sign up for MHPOS or use the app, we may collect:

• Account & business details — business name, address, GSTIN, owner/staff name, phone number, and email address.
• Business data you enter — products, categories, prices, orders, bills, customers, and inventory records you create inside the app.
• Device & usage data — app version, device type, and basic diagnostic logs used to keep the service running and to troubleshoot support requests.
• Communications — messages you send us via the contact form, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
• Website analytics — on our public marketing pages (not the admin panel or customer-facing ordering pages), we use Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic and page usage. See our Cookie Settings page for details.

How we use this information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the MHPOS billing, inventory, and reporting features.
• To set up and support your account, including printer setup and onboarding.
• To send you service-related communications, such as renewal reminders or support updates.
• To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form or other channels.
• To improve the app and diagnose technical issues.

Multi-tenant data separation

MHPOS is built so that every business's data — products, orders, customers, and staff — is kept separate from every other business using the platform. Staff accounts can only access the business they belong to.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your data. We only share information with third parties where necessary to run the service (for example, hosting/infrastructure providers), to comply with a legal obligation, or with your consent — such as when we arrange a Bluetooth or WiFi/USB printer for you through a hardware partner.

Data retention

We retain business and billing data for as long as your MHPOS subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with accounting and tax record-keeping obligations. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. See our Security page for more detail.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your business's data at any time by writing to us at the contact details below. Business owners can also manage staff access directly from the MHPOS admin panel. To delete your MHPOS account and its data, use our account deletion page.

Children's privacy

MHPOS is a business tool intended for use by business owners and staff. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
